Don't judge a book by its cover

Remember back in high school when you were required to cover your text books in paper? This ultimately was put in place to reduce damage to the books so that the school could keep reusing the same books for 20 years (this was evident by the stamped checkout dates reading 1980, and our history books constantly referencing Ronald Reagan as the President...). I had a Dawson's Creek bookcover that I would scribe adoring odes to Pacey Whitter on (still love!), but I would never dream of scribbling on any of these beautifully printed book covers
